Top 20 Gadgets to check out this Christmas

Christmas is upon us once again. While the festive season is a great time to spend with family and friends it can be a bit of a stressful time when it comes to purchasing the perfect gift. Throughout 2014, Experts have reviewed as well as tested out a host of mobile devices, gadgets, and other devices.

Experts within the tech industry have picked out the Top 20 Gadgets to check this Christmas. These devices are available throughout Africa as well as around the world, and can be found at most retailers.

In non-ranking order, you can find our top 20 gadgets to check out this Christmas guide below:

1.Apple iPhone 7

Forget the headphone furore, the iPhone 7 is a slick update worth waiting for.

There’s only one thing that matters about the Apple iPhone 7, and that’s its lack of a headphone port. Everything else is irrelevant.

That missing hole is a big deal, sure, but so are the improvements to the camera, the blistering speed of the new A10 processor, and the changes to the home button. In fact, to let any one feature dominate this review – whether good or bad – would be entirely out of keeping with the phone itself, which is the archetypal sum of its parts.

Some of the additions here may seem quite minor, but added together, they equal a surprisingly different beast from last year’s iPhone 6s.

2.Amazon Tap

The Amazon Tap is a wireless, Alexa-enabled portable Bluetooth speaker. Just tap the microphone button and ask for music from Prime Music, Spotify, Pandora, iHeartRadio and TuneIn. The device uses the Alexa Voice Service when connected to Wi-Fi or a mobile hotspot to play music, read the news, provide weather reports, and even order a pizza. It delivers sound powered by Dolby — with dual stereo speakers that provide 360-degree omni-directional audio — and provides up to nine hours of playback.

3.Dash-i MicroSD Reader

Billed as the smallest external storage for iOS, the Dash-i is a MicroSD card reader for iOS devices that gives you unlimited external storage capabilities. Made of aircraft-grade aluminum casing, the Dash-i can be attached to a key ring and taken anywhere you go. The reader supports MicroSD cards of any capacity, and allows you to store and access photos, music, video and more. You can also password-protect files and back files up from your iOS device. The Dash-i Plus also comes with concurrent-charging capability.

4.Canon EOS 70D

One of the great features of the EOS 70D is its size. It’s incredibly compact for an SLR, and will comfortably fit into any bag if a dedicated camera bag isn’t used.

With a body size of 139.0 x 104.3 x 78.5mm, it weighs around 700g. That might sound like a lot, but for a digital camera, it has extremely manageable proportions.

As with most Canon products, users know that they will be getting a quality device that aims to deliver the best pictures possible. Well, the 70D certainly doesn’t disappoint.

5.Autodromo Group B Automatic Watch

6.Fonepad 7 Tablet
