“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
I know a brother who has been in his current place of work since around 2010, he gave his life to Christ in April 2016, so, he is hardly yet a year in Salvation. But it took this brother less than two months for his eyes to open and to realize that where he was living was not decent enough for him. After about a month into salvation, this beloved brother came to me and said, “Pastor, I am ashamed of where I am renting. I feel that this area is not fit for me. I need to get to a better place as a child of God. And he concluded saying, “I cannot believe that I am the one who has been living in this locality comfortably for all this long.” I define his entire experience as the transformation of life by the renewal of mind. With this mindset, it does not matter much what the facts holds for him, because we certainly know that this unpleasant place must, and will give him up to where he deserves to dwell.
As a church, I desire for us to realize that, for there to be a deliberate change in our lives, it is necessary for our minds to change first. In Genesis 12: 1, “Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:” Child of God, before God shifts you physically, He will first shift you perspectively. The Lord shifted the eyes of Abram from what he was acquainted with: like his father’s kindred (mindset of his relatives), his father’s house (mindset of the family) and his country (mindset of his location). It is paramount that since you got born again, you brain wash all you ever knew about yourself, family and locality. If in your family people don’t settle in marriage or even marry at all, count yourself shifted from that fact – it can no longer limit you, if you were told that where your business is located people don’t succeed, shift your mind from expecting to fail, to expecting to succeed in that same area – the grace upon your life is different.
Beloved! Things don’t just happen to believers out of the blue, no, God is always deliberate. Even when God performs a miracle, He is deliberate and purposeful. Miracles are only a surprise to man, not to God. And most times, miracles happen to those who are expectant of something. Yet unfortunately, there are even believers who do not believe in miracles. Can you imagine that? Beloved saint, miracles still do happen, and if it has to take God to perform a miracle for you to be well, He will perform it for you. I only encourage you to be open to the unending working of God, to fully be expectant of good and to shut out any form of doubt in your life. Your success is unquestionable because you are more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus. Glory to the Lord!
I Love You!
