Haggai 1:13

“Then spake Haggai the LORD’s messenger in the LORD’s message unto the people, saying, I am with you, saith the LORD.”
Haggai 1:13

There is no greater blessing or encouragement than for the Lord to assure His people that He is with them. This word of the LORD came to the people after they had resumed the rebuilding of the Lord’s temple. The temple of the Lord had laid in ruins for sixteen years since the return of the remnants of the Jews from Babylon. On returning from Babylon, the people had concentrated on building their own houses to the neglect of the Lord’s house. (Haggai 1:4)

However, when Zerubbabel, the governor of Judah, and Joshua the High Priest, together with all the remnants of the Jewish people, harkened and obeyed the Word of the Lord, and began rebuilding the temple. After twenty three days into the rebuilding of the temple of the LORD, then the Word of the LORD came through His messenger Haggai unto the people, saying, “ā€œI am with you,” says the Lord!” This assurance came in the midst of the work. Hallelujah!

As pastor to your congregation, the Word of the Lord is saying to you today, “I am with you in this work, says the Lord” At one point it looked as though you were doing ministry all by yourself, but no, God is with you in this work. As a wife or husband in your home, listen to the Word of the Lord: in this marriage that began blissfully, and has all of a sudden turned bitter because your spouse has become wild, listen, “I am in it with you, says the Lord”. At your place of work, things have fallen apart, you are being threatened with demotion and dismissal, and you had began to think that the Lord has forgotten about you, no beloved, the Lord is saying to you now, “I am with you my son.”

As I conclude, I am clearly hearing the comforting words of the Lord saying, “I am with you!” This is the rema word from the Spirit to serve a now purpose. This devotion is not like the one of yesterday, nor will the one of tomorrow be like it. “Hear ye what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to you today!” Thank you Jesus! Thank you for this word, Oh Father.

You are Blessed!
I Love You!
