EXPERIENCING GOD’S GRACE UNLEASHES YOUR LOVE
“Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.”
God’s Love towards mankind is absolutely unconditional, but man’s love for God is solely conditioned to how much grace he receives from God. When you receive much forgiveness of your sins, you will give much love to the forgiver of sins. Man by nature was created not as an initiator of Agape Love, but as a respondent to that love; therefore as the initiator of Love, God is loving the world, He has poured His unconditional love upon all flesh and He is waiting for you to love Him back, but you cannot love Him back until you experience His grace towards you.
Now, there was a woman who was a notorious sinner in the city of Nain. When she learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s home, she took an alabaster jar of perfume and knelt at His feet behind him. She was crying and began to wash His feet with her tears and dry them with her hair. Then she kissed his feet over and over again, anointing them constantly with the perfume. Now the Pharisee who had invited Jesus saw this and told himself, “If this man were a prophet, He would have known who is touching Him and what kind of woman she is. She’s a sinner!” (Luke 7:37-39)
What the Pharisee did not know is that the grace of God is for the sinners, the rejected, the defeated, the hapless and the hopeless. For only such people have an eye for, and can gladly embrace the grace of God towards them. If you feel you are righteous already, you have no need of the grace of God; If you feel you are sufficient in yourself, you have no need of the grace of God; and if you feel you can do it by yourself, just do it, you have no need of God’s grace. God’s grace is for the sinners, the insufficient, and the unable. When this notorious sinner acknowledged how the grace of God saved her life, she lavished Christ with her love cheerfully.
No man can experience the grace of God and fail to fall in love with this gracious God. The grace of God will unleash as a river the love for God hidden in your heart. After an encounter with God, and having known that your sins have been forgiven – past, present and future, you will love God and man naturally, you will pray as you hanker for more prayers, you will give cheerfully, you will praise with hands lifted high with ease, and you will worship God in truth and in spirit. Because you know what the Grace of God has done for you. Hallelujah!
I Love You!
Father in the name of Jesus, I thank You for Your redeeming grace. I am experiencing love upon love, faith for faith, and growing in grace after grace. I break the bondage of fear in the name of Jesus, I therefore stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ has made me free, and I will not be entangled again with the yoke of bondage, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
