OUR GOD IS ABLE
“If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.”
What does it mean to you when it is said that God is able? As other people speak of the ability of God, it is imminent that you be prepared to have a personal testimony of the ability of God yourself.
What can sustain you, and haul you through the challenges and difficulties you are facing in your life, is your personal revelation of God’s ability to overturn, to dissolve, and to carry you through that trying season of your life.
A man who understands the ability of the God he serves, cannot be shaken, cannot be moved, and cannot be discouraged over bad or threatening news. He will stand his ground and face every circumstance head-on without fear or discouragement.
The reason most Christians do not take risks, is the fact that most of us are still uncertain of the ability of our God. Many of us have got this what-if attitude; what if He doesn’t save me, what if I fail and be ashamed, what if God turns silent on me, what if this… what if that…
Child of God, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, that you have decided to cast us into the burning furnace because we have refused to serve your gods, let it be known to you, O king, that our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
But even if He does not, let it be known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
Look at this! This is what we call confidence in the ability of God. The what if attitude was their last resort.
Beloved! As humans, it is sometimes inevitable to avoid the what if attitude, however, don’t allow it to surface first, do not allow it to override your yes in God. Endeavor to establish a persuasion, a confidence, and a trust in the ability of your God, that will cause you to challenge the challenges that face you.
Take more time to know the ability of this God you have believed, than spending a lot of time complaining and grumbling about the possibilities of failing. Trust in God at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah. God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto Him. Hallelujah!
I Love You!
Almighty Father in the name of Jesus Christ we thank You for You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or think according Your power that works in us. Father, open our eyes to the reality of your ability and might in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
